Car Service Hiro Impreza

Magazines available here!

It’s always hard to make a standout build in the car community. Lately things have become very stale and basic when it comes to style. Nobody tries anything new; Everybody uses the same cookie cutter widebody kits. Its never an equal portion of style and performance in the same way it was in the early 2000s. With our favorite cars now becoming obsolete, too expensive to own, or difficult to find, most builds that are style and performance aren’t being used as track cars. You don’t see very many highly executed builds being beaten and abused in high stress situation. I love the Japanese’s approach to building a car when style is just as important as performance. Growing up in the US I have always seen short cuts taken, replica parts used and cheap quality parts used. There will always be arguments about whether or not the cost is worth it depending on application. I strive to achieve a quality of build that I can be proud of that is the art piece I have envisioned, as well as being ruthlessly capable on track. Getting carried away with my thoughts, I have forgotten where I was going with this haha. When I first saw Car Service Hiro’s Impreza it reminded me of how unique builds used to be. Every part crafted for a specific vision in mind by the maker. Not everything may be hand made, but it is a unique contemplation of parts to complete the vision. Let’s take a look at Car Service Hiro’s GDB-E Impreza!

Translation:

(In bold) - The flare pattern with skilled paint work is spectacular!!

(Top center) - It was created with the theme of creating a completely different image while maintaining the blue color that is the main image color of the Impreza. Partly due to the owner’s wishes, the main point is that it is not too noticeable at first glance. By the way, as a finishing touch for the custom paint, I applied 7 to 8 layers of candy blue.

(Lower half of page) - Despite being a long-established custom shop, Car Service in Saitama Prefecture has always taken on new challenges. Suhiro, when you hear about the shop that manufactured the chopped Impreza with the GRB face that was introduced in the SS King section of the June issue, many people probably remember it!?!?

Car Service has done it again. This time it’s a GDB Impreza with a brightly colored custom paint job. The candy blue body with flare patterns is sure to impress, but that’s not all. As you get closer, you will realize that the paint that was applied to this machine was extremely time consuming. After all, flare patterns are drawn using different approaches for each part, such as the bonnet wrapped paint with transparent carbon material, and the roof with the latest scratch paint.

Translation for picture 1:

The carbon bonnet is wrapped with a saran wrap to create a pattern. Apparently they use a paint called Marvelizer, which has fine particles and doesn’t dry easily. The secret is that if you look closely, you can see through the carbon material!

Translation for picture 2:

The flare pattern on the roof is drawn by grinder tattoo (scratch painting). This is a technique in which the iron plate of the body is first exposed and then a pattern is created by scratching in with a grinder. Enjoy random patterns!

Translation for picture 3:

Ghost Flames, which uses white pearls to create flared outlines, is a mysterious paint that makes the pattern invisible depending on the angle. It’s also fashionable to have the manufacturer’s logo of the attached parts drawn in pin-stitched.

Translation for picture 4:

The skull mark drawn on the trunk is made of gold leaf pasted with gold leaf and pinstripe. The candy blue coating creates a sense of unity with the body.

(Top bubble) - I’m very happy with the beautiful finish! Owner Shibuya san

(Lower bubble) - It’s rare for sports to do this much. Car Service Hito Nakamura san

(Black bubble) - This month’s super style king

(Visual Composition) - Car Service Hiro Front bumper / Bonnet / Rear Bumper / GT Wing / Rear Under Spoiler / One-off Rear Blister Fender / Custom Paint Signal Auto / Front Fender Modification / Side Step / Work XSA02C (F/R 9Jx19 +15) Interior leather reupholstery

(Bottom half of page) - Furthermore, the side of the body is a veritable parade of the latest paint techniques, with gold leaves and pinstripes added as accents to the “ghost flames,” who’s graphics disappear depending on the angle. Yet, the finish has a sense of unity. As expected of Car Service Hiro. The exquisite coordination is probably the most impressive feature of this machine. Now, it’s easy to overlook the impact of the coloring, but the excellent bodywork is also worth paying attention to. After all, even though it is 50mm wider on each side in both the front and rear, there is nothing unnatural about it. In fact. this blister fender is a one-off manufactured and processed to match the 19-inch wheels, and it is perfectly reproduced down to the genuine press line. What’s more, it has a square shape with driving performance in mind, so even if you lower the vehicle height to 19 inches, it will still fit comfortably. Mr. Nakamura, who has always loved running, is able to make such calculated coordination. If you want not only speed but also cool styling, we recommend that you consult Car Service Hiro.

It’s hard to tell at first glance, but the taillights and headlights have also been made with the fine scratches to make the pattern stand out. Even the smallest details have been meticulously crafted.

Translation for picture 6

As the fuel filler became wider, the fuel filler cap got stuck and wouldn’t open horizontally, so I solved it by changing it to a gull wing.

Translation for picture 7

Blister fender with 50mm increase on each side both front and rear. The front is a one-off model with Signal Auto’s 20mm wide fender, which has been made even wider and has a duct added. The rear is made into a blister by welding steel plates and filling with putty.

The interior is finished with a luxurious feel, including tan leather. The stack meter panel also contributes to the clean appearance of the cockpit.
