Mika’s Fairlady Z

Magazines for sale here

In the U.S. the demographic of the car culture seems to be dominated by males, while the small percentage of females are mostly brought into the culture by being introduced to it by a male. Even then, being into cars isn’t really something I have seen very often as a common family history interest in the U.S. from my experiences. In Japan I think it is more common that cars are tied into their culture and every day life. I have heard numerous times that family members had owned an AE86, Hakosuka Skyline, or a JZX100 as normal cars used for normal things. Being into cars in Japan isn’t a choice, it is just apart of their lifestyle. That my perspective looking in from the outside. Because of this way of life, I find it more common for females in Japan to find themselves enjoying cars in more ways than means for transportation. Girls like Mika and here Fairlady Z.

(In bubble) Perfect for starting on a hill!

(Bold font of right) - I’m impressed by the style of the Z33; Get your license to drive this car!

My first car, Fairlady Z, was completely transformed into a flashy pink color in a year and a half!

This corner started with last month’s issue, but even though it’s an irregular series, we are going to go to the homes of runner gals again this month! The second installment will feature Mika-chan, who was featured in the August issue of Girls On.

By the way, posted on Girls On, the girl who did it for me caught my eye. If there is one, I’ll go around and do more interviews. My daughter should post something like, “Come and interview me at my house”! If you post a photo of yourself in a swimsuit or cosplay that stands out, and write a funny comment, your chances of getting an interview will go up. Maybe I’ll upload it!

By the way, we choose Mika-chan this time because her car is flashy and cool. After all, it’s pink Fairlady Z, which was completely painted. And since there’s a girl riding it, it’s perfect for this corner. When I immediately visited her home she said, “When I head you were coming to do an interview, I baked Mika’s special Option 2 cookies.” Ah, what a good girl you are (tears).

In addition, there are options in the room. 2 and Video Options. “Recently, I’ve become addicted to D1, and I buy the DVD every time. I love Smokey Nagata-san and Kawabata, and this year I went to see D1 at Fuji Speedway,” says Mika.

From what I hear, I was addicted to it until a year and a half ago. I was surprised to hear that she had no interest in cars and didn’t even have a driver’s license! However, she fell in love with the Z32 at first sight and wanted to drive it, so she got a driver’s license. “I wish I had gotten my license sooner if it was so much fun!” This car was my first favorite car.

A computer-tuned street version with Trust’s 2-layer intercooler and air cleaner, Border intake manifold and 5-dimensional 304MAX muffler. I wonder if the power will be around 350ps? Next time I’d like to replace the turbine and get more power. Isn’t a big turbine cool? So I’m looking forward to the future.

“At first, I wanted it completely normal, but when I saw the cool parts, I just wanted it. At first, I thought the pink color was too flashy, but then I saw it in the movie Speedmaster.” When I saw the Z32, it looked pink. At the beginning of this year, I decided to do a complete pen. When I’m running around town, kids say, “It’s cool!” and it makes me feel so happy! “That’s Awesome!”

She is currently a member of the owners club and enjoys touring once a month. Since joining the club, I’ve gained a lot of information, and I’ve become even more obsessed with cars.

“Now that I’ve decided on the look, I want to increase the power! Top speed would be fun,” she said as if her tuning spirit had been ignited. For now, I’m putting my priority on looks, but if I continue to tune at this pace, I hope I’ll be hitting top speed in a few years!

(Top bubble) - I made my name into a sticker!

(Bottom bubble) - Option 2 posted is a treasure

(Bottom) - Your favorite original name sticker. Apparently it was made by Tommy Craft, which also handles vinyl for D1 vehicles. For the emblem, I attacked Swarovski crystals myself and decorated it like a gal.

(Bubble) - It’s an owner’s club sticker

(Top caption) - The house is filled with my favorite pink color and is filled with Option 2, Video Option, and D1 model cars. It seems like she buys it every month without fail. Furthermore, since Option 2 was coming for the interview, she even prepared special cookies for me, which I ate deliciously.

(Bottom caption) - She joined the Fairlady Z Owner’s Club, “Z Project” six months ago. I’m sure you’re looking forward to the monthly tour, but it turns out there isn’t one.

It’s honestly sad to me to see where the car culture has gone today. It’s nothing like it used to be and unfortunately for me I wasn’t able to experience it during it’s Golden Era. However, we can re-live the past through these articles and try to preserve what once was so that we can hopefully usher it back in. Lets enjoy what we have while it lasts!
